The tool library is a free community resource that lends tools for home repair and projects. It's a place for the community to share equipment and experience. You can learn more about tool libraries from this Ted Talk.
Community members can check out items for a short period of time, just like a normal library. Most items have a 7 day loan time, but if you need a tool for longer, please ask! Use the "Lending Catalog" tab to see our inventory.

Get Involved
To become a member at the tool library, come in during our open hours (check out the Calendar). We'll ask for ID, proof of residence in Winnebago, Outagamie, or Fond Du Lac County, agreement to a liability release and tool use policy, and an optional donation based on income. A yearly membership provides access to hundreds of tools! You can also send us a message via email oshkoshtoollibrary@gmail.com or fill out this survey to share your interests using this google form.
We are currently looking for the following as requested by community members, but we also accept most tool donations that are in good working condition:
- Volunteers - Stop by during open hours and ask about getting on the schedule, please :) If you're willing to teach a class, go here.

- Fireproof cabinet for paint
- Pencil Sharpener

- Heavy duty paper cutter
- 'Chompshop' kid safe cardboard cutter
- Kitchenaid Mixer
- Rechargable batteries (for cordless tools)
- Snowblowers and lawnmowers; preferrably corded or cordless electric

- Stained glass tools, solder, cutters, etc.

For repairs, stop by for some advice or an extra hand and check out the Repair Cafe Oshkosh, which occurs every few months.
